Give Some Respect To Bonds

Give Some Respect To Bonds http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3090631&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines

There was an E.S.P.N. article regarding how Barry Bonds might boycott the hall of fame. As many people think to themselves why would any one who has a shot at being a hall of famer turn down the offer. Well this is what the article was a about. It was about bonds not going to go to the hall. The ball that Bonds hit to break Hank Aarons home run record was sold to a clothes designer some one who probably such little knowledge about baseball. The clothes designer put a poll on his web page (you know so many baseball fans love to just explore fashion designer webpage.) of what he should do with the ball. The vote came out and the ball was to be placed with an asterisk. Bonds who claims not to have taken steroids disagrees with what they did with the ball. He says "I don't think you can put an asterisk in the game of baseball, and I don't think that the Hall of Fame can accept an asterisk," Bonds said. "You cannot give people the freedom, the right to alter history. You can't do it. There's no such thing as an asterisk in baseball." I could not agree any more with what Bonds is saying. No matter how badly I want to believe Bonds did not take steroids I think he did. Even despite the fact no one has a right to do that to that to Bonds. They have been working on that case if he used steroids for a while now and they have no actual proof so either does that stupid close designer. It is so wrong to take a huge memento from Bonds and pretty much ruining it and make the ball so useless to him. Every thing that Bonds worked for is gone because of some selfish people. It could not be any more wrong of that person to do that to what was such a huge milestone for Bonds. I’m not saying steroids are ok but they did not help when he had so much pressure going up to bat every one watching him knowing every one was counting on him to either break the record or come that much closer to breaking the record. Steroids also did not help him to time the pitch or a hit a curveball or catch up to a fastball. So one day when something that clothes designer worked so hard for gets ruined or lost or something he looks back and makes an apology to Bonds.

Joe Torre

A New Start http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3088105&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines
For my P.L.N this week I decided to read a bit about the x-Yankees manger Joe Torre. The article was about the hype of Mr. Torre becoming the Dodger manger and how he left turned down the Yankees new contract. I am really glad he did that. Torre is a great manger and his statistics are unbelievable and just because he did not make it to the World Series they were going to get ride of him. Then they had a long discussion and finally decided to keep him. Clearly they did not want him (why I do not know). Since torre has enough pride he decided to turn down the contract (A wise decision). The Dodgers new they needed a new manger and saw Torre was now free they decided to pick him up. He will be a great manger for the Dodgers. This is because they are a good team but they are just struggling. Now that they have Torre they are in a good position to go far in the upcoming years.
